Chasen Kazari (Whisk + Ornament)

This is an Object Of Matcha, a collection designed with Fabio Lauria.

Each piece translates the quiet precision of the tea ritual into contemporary form. Stainless steel and bamboo. Craft and clarity. The gesture of use becomes part of the design, reduced, refined, essential.

This Chasen is handmade in the classic nakabushi style (middle node style). A hand-crafted whisk made from dark bamboo. Kazari means “ornament”  a reference to the fine stainless steel plate, hand-screwed in place, echoing the flowing curve of The Matcha Club logo. 

Care Instructions

Chasen Kazari (Whisk + Ornament)

Rinse gently with warm water after each use,  do not use soap.
Do not soak the handle. 
Allow to air dry upright on the Naoshi to maintain its shape.
Over time, the bamboo will develop a natural patina; this is part of its character.
